Fans of superheroes regularly connect with the courageous acts carried out by beloved characters, whether it be stopping a petty thief or saving the entire galaxy. For us, it seems hard to believe that anyone could want to stop the X-Men or Batman from regularly putting their lives on the line for the greater good, given the ways in which comic books give us an inside look at their motivations.
