Sometimes, Stan the Man makes it hard for fans to be True Believers.
Unsurprisingly, during Lee's panel at MegaCon, a question turned to the appearance -- and Lee, reluctantly, delivered some -- sad? Is that the right word? -- news.
"I don't know if I should tell you the truth about that cameo," Lee said. "I was not in the topless dancing place. I did that in a studio and then they put it into the movie, and I'm damn mad about that!"
The audience responded, as you might expect, with a mix of "awws" and laughter.

"I made them promise in the next one, I'm going to be right there," Lee added.
The comic book legend had previously joked that he wished he'd spent more time at the strip club, and that filmmakers "had him in and out of there too quickly." Apparently, it was really quickly.
And Deadpool would have a field day with the subtext in basically every sentence in the article.
