Thor: Ragnarok might be more of a building block towards Avengers: Infinity War than anyone may have expected as Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet might be making an appearance.

While visiting the set of Thor: Ragnarok in Australia, ComicBook.com was guided through room decked out with concept art, set models, and plans for the upcoming Marvel Studios film. Hanging on a wall in that room was a list of props for the film and listed on it was “Infinity Gauntlet”.
The Infinity Gauntlet (known to Marvel comics fans as the Mad Titan Thanos’ weapon of choice) was last seen in the post-credits scene of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Thanos had acquired the Gauntlet from an unknown location and declared, “Fine, I’ll do it myself.” In that moment, fans knew the villain was ready for battle.
Should the Infinity Gauntlet appear in Thor: Ragnarok, it would likely come with an appearance from Thanos assuming the timeline of films remains to be chronological based on releases.
Still, a version of the Infinity Gauntlet was featured in 2011’s Thor, which has been declared as simply another Gauntlet locked away in Odin’s vault while Thanos now has the other. This Gauntlet’s appearance in Thor: Ragnarok would make sense, given the “Destroyer Armor” also being listed on the same sheet and its residence just down the hall from this mock-Gauntlet.
“I’m excited to work with Thor,” Avengers: Infinity War co-director Joe Russo told ComicBook.com at a press event for Captain America: Civil War. “They’re doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he’s gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he’s gonna have a real emotional motivation after that.”
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3, 2017.
