A few months ago, a Twitter account operating under the name “Russo Brothers” started tweeting images which appeared to tease props and moments from Captain America: Civil War. With the movie out in theaters now, we can all but confirm that the account was tweeting real images from the production.

Take a look at some of the images shared from the account and realize their ties to Civil War… (major spoilers ahead)
The Accords
โ Russo Brothers (@Russo_Brothers) July 16, 2015
Not the first image tweeted but the easiest to link features a tease of the Sokoviaย Accords. The Accords were the driving factor behind Captain America and Iron Man’s feud. The image was tweeted in July of last year – long before anyone knew the name of the Accords which would be featured in the movie.
Stasis Chair
โ Russo Brothers (@Russo_Brothers) July 22, 2015
Above is an image of the chair which Bucky and the other Winter Soldiers were locked into while place into stasis at the HYDRA facility. There were more than one. We first saw the prop in the trailer for Civil War but definitely got a detailed look at it upon release and can see where the image came from.
Spidey Suit 1.0
โ Russo Brothers (@Russo_Brothers) July 9, 2015
Spider-Man’s original suit was pieced together from whatever Peter Parker could get his hands on and that meant he was using some funky little goggles. Those goggles are revealed in the picture above. Remeber Tony Stark putting them over his eyes and mocking Parker? Yup, that’s them.ย
Spider Suit 2.0
โ Russo Brothers (@Russo_Brothers) July 10, 2015
Much like Deadpoolย earlier this year, Spider-Man’s eyes and some parts of his suit were added with special effects in post-production. In this image, we see Spider-Man’s mask without the whites of his eyes which were added in later so that they could move.ย
Black Panther
โ Russo Brothers (@Russo_Brothers) July 23, 2015
Our first look at Black Panther in Civil War came long before any trailer. The image above shows a very tight shot on T’Challa’sย eye in the vibranium suit. It looks to be taken off of a monitor so it’s probably a shot from the movie.
Shattered
โ Russo Brothers (@Russo_Brothers) July 22, 2015
Based on the coloring of the image above, the broken glass is likely from the scene which saw the Winter Soldier taking out the Stark parents or the location in which the other Winter Soldiers were being kept. The image was tweeted in directย succession of the image of the chair which held Buckyย so it’s most likely from the same facility which saw Zemoย put down the others.
The Hallway
โ Russo Brothers (@Russo_Brothers) July 7, 2015
The final showdown between Captain America and Iron Man took place at the aforementioned HYDRA facility. When they arrived, it was a defensive but friendly standoff in a hallway with a green wall with white above it. That setting is seen in the image above.
Sputnik
โ Russo Brothers (@Russo_Brothers) July 24, 2015
Captain America: Civil War shot under the working title, “Sputnik.” Above is a call sheet from the film’s production. ย
Sweatshirt?
โ Russo Brothers (@Russo_Brothers) July 10, 2015
Although not one hundred percent certain on this one, the image above is striking as the sweat shirt Buckyย wore during his escape with Captain America in Germany. This one may be off though.
Left Hand Free
โ Russo Brothers (@Russo_Brothers) January 20, 2016
Upon Spider-Man’s introduction, the song “Left Hand Free” was played while the screen read, “QUEENS.” While the image above may deceive you as being a star of some sort with Captain America on your mind, it is actually part of the cover art for Alt-J’s album which features the song.

There are several images which look familiar from Captain America: Civil War which were also posted to the Russo Brothers Twitter account but I haven’t been able to nail down exactly what they are. While the Russo Brothers have never confirmed this account is actually their own, they seem to be having some fun with their projects and none of us can be mad about it. Civil War turned out to be one of the greatest comic book movies of all time. Let’s hope they’ll tease some looks at Infinity War when they dive into work on those films later this year!
Captain America: Civil War is now playing in theaters.ย
