Now, the powers that be behind Venom have enlisted a group of fight and stunt coordinators with some serious entries on their resumes.

According to Omega Underground, Tom Connolly (The Avengers, Logan) has been brought on board to serve as fight coordinator while Chris O’Hara (John Wick, Baby Driver) and Jack Gil (Captain America: Civil War) will serve as stunt coordinators.

While fight and stunt coordinator announcements aren’t something as sexy as casting news, it’s no secret that a production’s fight sequences can make or break the production.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, production on Venom is expected to begin in October. The movie will be a part of the same Spider-Man-adjacent shared Marvel Comics universe as Silver and Black, Sony’s upcoming film about Silver Sable and Black Cat. The Venom movie is being described as a gritty, horror-inspired take on the Marvel anti-hero.

Venom currently has a 3.88 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Anticipation Rating, making it the fourth most anticipated upcoming comic book movie among ComicBook.com users.
