While audiences had plenty of negative feelings toward X-Men: Apocalypse, they couldn’t complain about the young talent featured in the film.

Tye Sheridan, who played Cyclops, was especially praised for his take on the character. The young actor showed some serious emotional chops, and gave fans a version of Scott Summers they could really look forward to.

If anyone could have one complaint about Cyclops throughout the film, it was regarding his traditional style. Where was the classic Cyclops visor?

As the film concluded, all of the new X-Men were shown in their new training facility. They all donned the yellow and blue X-Men suits we have all come to love, and Scott finally had his red visor.

The question remains, however, where did he get it? It’s not like the kid could have made that kind of equipment in his mother’s garage.

In an exlclusive video from Yahoo! a deleted scene from the film reveals where the visor actually came from. Take a look:

Beast, known as well for his technical know-how as his furry appearance, presents Scott with the new gear. Even though Scott seems attached to his old shades, the ability to control his powers without removing his eyewear is to good to pass up.

The scene is expected to be featured on the X-Men: Apocalypse Blu Ray, along with many other scenes and features.

When the next X-Men film releases, we should look for a more veteran version of Scott Summers. He has had some time to learn what it takes to be a part of the X-Men, and he will progress toward his role as the group’s leader.
