Chris Evans took home the People's Choice Award for Favorite Action Movie Actor tonight at the People's Choice Awards for his performances in two comic book movies, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Snowpiercer.
"Thank you to the people who voted," Evans said. "Thank you to the people who love movies, who see movies, who are passionate about movies. Without you guys, I'm lost, so thank you for giving me a purpose." He joked, "I'll say forty percent of the votes were my mom, but the other sixty percent...I'm eternally grateful, so thank you."
The People's Choice Awards is an awards show wherein fans vote for the nominees, categories and the winners. It's also the first awards show of the year, which means a number of the winners will be taking the stage for the first of many times out between now and the Academy Awards.
