Jai Courtney Reveals Story Behind His Captain Boomerang Beard In Suicide Squad

Remember back when an issue of Flash: Rebirth took a page and a half to recount the backstory of Barry Allen's bow tie?
Riveting stuff, that.
Anyway, we're back in that same territory now, as a new Hitfix interview with Suicide Squad star Jai Courtney reveals why he decided to have Captain Boomerang wear a beard in the film.
Saying that it wasn't his idea, Courtney said that Ayer came into makeup and started "attacking" his facial hair, leaving it in a way that he said "looks like your buddy got drunk and cut your hair."
You can check it out below.
Suicide Squad will star two-time Oscar nominee Will Smith as Deadshot; Tom Hardy as Rick Flag; Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn; Oscar winner Jared Leto as the Joker; Courtney as Boomerang; and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress. It will be directed by Fury's David Ayer from a script he wrote.
It's due in theaters in August of next year; you can check out that and many other upcoming release dates here.
