Paramount Pictures Gets Sued For Transformers 4 Not Having Enough Product Placement

Paramount Pictures and China Movie Channel, producers of the Michael Bay directed Transformers 4: Age of Extinction, are being sued for failing to place a logo in the final cut of the film.
Transformers 4 shot parts of the movie in Wulong Karst National Park, and the Wulong Karst Tourism company made a deal with Paramount to display its logo in the film via THR. The deal paid Paramount $750,000, but the lawsuit they've filed is for $27.7 million.
While both Paramount and China Movie Channel admit to not being able to get the logo in, they have already attempted to appease Wulong Karst Tourism with an advertisement for their resort, as well as the fact that they left sets and props at the resort to encourage tourism to their establishment.
The matter is currently being reviewed in a Chongqing City court, though it was originally filed in 2014.
