First, fans got a look at a brand new poster for the film. While nothing spectacular, the poster did prove that Colin Firth is indeed playing a pivotal role in the new movie. Even though he was seemingly killed in the first film, his name is listed as the top talent on the poster. Firth’s name even appears about co-stars Julianne Moore and Taron Egerton.

The other piece of info fans received came in the form of a synopsis. The sequel’s plot has kept under lock and key to this point, so this is the first actual insight to the story. When you dissect the new info, it gives a major hint as to the secret roles Jeff Bridges and Channing Tatum will be playing.

Kingsman: The Secret Service introduced the world to Kingsman – an independent, international intelligence agency operating at the highest level of discretion, whose ultimate goal is to keep the world safe. In Kingsman: The Golden Circle, our heroes face a new challenge. When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US called Statesman, dating back to the day they were both founded. In a new adventure that tests their agents’ strength and wits to the limit, these two elite secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy, in order to save the world, something that’s becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy…

This movie is going to introduce a group called Statesman, who are basically an American version of the Kingsman organization. Agents from that organization will have to work with Eggsy and Merlin, and the couple of American talents in the film seem to fit the bill for those roles.

Judging by the actors’ personalities and style, Jeff Bridges and Channing Tatum make a lot of sense as a team. The two seem a bit like American mirrors of Colin Firth and Taron Egerton, so a fun dynamic could be on the way.
