Lionsgate and Saban just about ready to unleash their rebooted Power Rangers to the masses, a film that is not only aimed at bringing new fans to the franchise but also wants to respect the longtime fans that have watched since day one.

One of the ways it does that is with two big cameos from the original series, cameos that include two of the most popular characters from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers history. Jason David Frank and Amy Jo Johnson, the Green and Pink Rangers respectively, don’t make appearances as their characters, but they do make an appearance in the film. They also reunited outside of the Rangers universe recently, and Frank grabbed a picture of the reunion and shared it on Instagram, saying “Good to always see you ๐ @atothedoublej”.
As you can see in the comments, fans have always held the onscreen couple in high regard, as does Power Rangers director Dean Israelite. It’s why he decided to bring them into the reboot, saying “Yeah, you saw them. … Those were really the two that we thought were important to put in there and you know obviously, we’re teasing something at the end that relates to [Tommy] so it sort of all felt organic.” Power Rangers currently enjoys a 3.59 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings, and you can view the official synopsis below.

But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.”
