In today's least surprising news, the most talked about movie on Facebook's Year in Review list is none other than Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
"It had all year to build that chatter," one might argue. If this were the case, explain how American Sniper, which was released a year ago, earned a spot on the same list! Episode VII of Star Wars is epic and we're all going to see it and talk about it!
Fantastic Four, (though mostly negative) saw quite a bit of chatter on social media, as did The Hunger Games conclusion: Mockingjay Part 2 but are surprisingly both absent from the list. However, the year's highest grossing films (so far) Furious 7 and Jurassic World are while Inside Out, which sits as the number 3 box office hauler of the year, is hanging out with the Fantastic Four and Hunger Games in that apparently quiet place. Marvel scored one of its 2015 properties in the top 10 but couldn't squeeze Ant-Man into the conversation.
