The runtime has been confirmed for The Dark Knight Rises, director Christopher Nolan's third and final Batman movie, which will be in theaters in just over two weeks. The film weighs in at a hefty two hours and forty-four minutes, longer than either of Nolan's previous two Batman films and about twenty minutes longer than  Marvel's big summer superhero blockbuster, The Avengers. The film is almost a half an hour longer than Batman Begins and fifteen or so minutes longer than The Dark Knight. It also makes it the longest Batman movie overall, inside or outside of Nolan's franchise. The Dark Knight Rises will be in theaters July 20.
