Disney is adapting another one of its theme park rides for the big screen. John August has created a treatment for Tower of Terror, to be produced by Jim Whitaker.

The film will follow five people at a fancy hotel who disappear from the hotel elevator after it is hit by lightning.
The ride itself drags theme park visitors through a haunted mansion, before dropping them suddenly down an elevator shaft.
The film will be a family friendly take on the haunted house genre.
