Tyrese Gibson Has A Fully Functioning Benihana In His Backyard

Tyrese Gibson, the actor/musician who has been lobbying to play Green Lantern John Stewart in Green Lantern Corps, has been all over the news this week.

Urging Dogma actor Chris Rock to step down from his gig as Oscars host amid a controversy about the recent slated of nominees, Gibson's now in the headlines again for something a bit less charged: his backyard accommodations.

Apparently, Tyrese has a fully-functioning hibachi restaurant in his backyard.

Many Americans are most familiar with hibachi cooking through Benihana, the popular chain of Japanese restaurants that prepare the food in front of you in a cooktop built into your table.

Gibson's had the restaurant setup since 2013, at least, with comedian Aziz Ansari fishing for an invitation on social media for years. Finally, the pair got together for some hibachi this week, resulting in a series of photos from the stars:

Still no word on whether Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce in the Fast and the Furious franchise, will get his Green Lantern dream job -- but maybe if he invites Zack Snyder over for some fresh fried rice...?
