The fan-favorite, digital-first anthology series Adventures of Superman will wrap its run today and be replaced on May 19 by Infinite Crisis, a digital-first series set in the world of the new video game of the same name. That's the word from DC Entertainment, who say, "Infinite Crisis has a stellar creative team lined up.  The comic series is written by Dan Abnett and illustrated by the likes of Carl Potts, Trevor Scott, Larry Stroman, Szymon Kudranski and Tom Raney, among others. Covers are illustrated by the talented Gene Ha and Issue #1 will include a Harley Quinn variant cover by Terry and Rachel Dodson." Abnett is, of course, in huge demand as he and Andy Lanning co-wrote the Guardians of the Galaxy run largely being adapted to the screen by filmmaker James Gunn and Marvel Studios. The project, and his involvement, were already announced back in February.

takes place before the start of the video game and brings together wildly different versions of DC Universe heroes and villains from across the Multiverse to head off a Crisis that threatens to destroy all of their worlds. Heroes and villains from Gaslight, Atomic, Arcane, Mecha and other worlds battle and join forces with Prime Earth Batman in this rapidly escalating conflict. In addition to characters from the video game (mostly comprised of various "Elseworlds" comics), two characters are being introduced just for Abnett's series: a re-imagined Harbinger (see right) and Atomic Two-Face. Infinite Crisis is a  free-to-play MOBA PC video game developed by Turbine, can be playedfor free at www.infinitecrisis.com.
