Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Had Over 22 Million Viewers

Remember last week how excited ABC was over Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. drawing in around 12 million viewers. It turns out those 12 million viewers who watched the episode live were only around half of the story. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has actually been watched by over 22 million total viewers. According to TV By The Numbers, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. drew 12.1 million viewers in the Live + Same Day window, plus an additional 3.7 million timeshifted viewers in days 1-3. On Thurday, ABC ran an encore of the pilot episode, which attracted 4.7 million viewers. In addition, the pilot episode was viewed 1.6 million times on ABC.com and Hulu over its first 5 days. Based on the first five days, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is ABC's best season premiere ever in online streaming. All total the pilot episode was viewed 22.1 million times. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs on Tuesdays at 8 PM ET on ABC.
