Deadline reports, Amber Midthunder (Banshee) has joined the cast of FX's Legion.
Midthunder is playing Kerry, "a woman of action with a childlike sense of wonder. A true savant, Kerry has lived a sheltered, but never dull life."
Legion is based on the X-Men character of the same name, the mutant son (David Haller) of Professor Charles Xavier, a.k.a. Professor X. In addition to being a powerful mutant, Haller is a diagnosed schizophrenic. Each of his different personalities controls a different mutant gift. The show will introduce Haller as a haunted man, trying to find his way back to sanity, but he's getting tired and is about to give up when he meets the girl of his dreams.
Legion showrunner is Fargo creator Noah Hawley. The show will star Dan Stevens and Aubrey Plaza.
Production on the Legion pilot begins in March.
