Arrow Casts a New Love Interest For Oliver In Season Four

Arrow has cast Elysia Rotaru as a new love interest for Oliver in the upcoming fourth season of the series, Entertainment Weekly reports.

That's a sentence that's likely to freak out Olicity fans, but don't worry too much just yet: it's a love interest in the flashbacks.

"Oliver is gonna have a love interest in the past that will serve as a parallel or potentially a contrast to his love affair with Felicity in the present," executive producer Marc Guggenheim said.

Of course, we can probably expect her to appear in the current day, either as a romantic complication or as someone driving the plot, since historically the flashbacks have tied into the main plotline.

Rotaru, who has appeared in Supernatural and iZombie in the past, wasn't named in the article. That will, of course, lead many fans to speculate that she might be a recognizable face from the DC Universe...particularly since Guggenheim confirmed that the season's flashback story will launch with Oliver in Coast City.
