Arrow's John Barrowman Takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (In a Deathstroke T-Shirt)

Arrow and Torchwood star John Barrowman is the latest comics celebrity to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, having been challenged by Stephen Amell.

After Stephen and Robbie Amell were both told online that they should have let the ice melt more, so that they were getting hit more with frozen water than just ice cubes, it appears their friend Barrowman took that to heart; his ice bucket seems to be less "ice" and more "slushy water." He also gets hit twice in the video, as his husband drops the garbage can halfway through and has to pick it back up and finish the job.

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge helps raise awareness and donations for ALS charities. Several celebrities known for playing superheroes have taken part in the challenge, including Arrow's Stephen Amell, Iron Man's Robert Downey, Jr. and Guardians of the Galaxy's Chris Pratt.

After you've completed the challenge, you issue it to three more people to keep the awareness moving. Barrowman challenged Arrow's Colton Haynes, Supernatural's Misha Collins and Doctor Who's David Tennant.

Arrow returns on October 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
