Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Star Henry Cavill Teams With Durrell Wildlife Park For Cavill Conservation

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice star Henry Cavill is putting his public persona to good use, launching Cavill Conservation in cooperation with the Durrell Wildlife Park.

Those interested in adopting a family of gorillas can do so via the Cavill Conservation website, and depending on the amount of money you care to spend, you can get unique and hand-signed incentives from the Man of Steel actor.

Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust is based in Cavill's home of Jersey in the Channel Islands.

Durrell is an international charity dedicated to saving species from extinction.

"I'm enormously proud to be part of a team that makes such a huge positive impact on the world," Cavill said in a statement. "Durrell is an organisation with a mission I can really get behind. I feel that saving the diversity of life on our planet will be seen as increasingly important in the not-too-distant future. I genuinely believe that Durrell provide hope for those endangered animals that others may have given up on already. They 'do the seemingly impossible'; I would be truly humbled if I help to make that possible."

Author and naturalist Gerald Durrell founded the Jersey Zoo in 1959. It became a charitable trust in 1963 and was renamed Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust in 1999 in honor of its founder. You can check out a video of Cavill's visit to Durrell below.
