A few days ago, Netflix ordered a second season of Marvel's Daredevil and star Charlie Cox already has a wishlist for characters he'd like to see appear in it.
Clearly, the season 2 announcement is still very fresh and the first season has only be available for a few weeks, so Cox doesn't know what's in store for Matt Murdock in the next season yet, but he does know who he would like to drop in.
“Based on the show we’ve created, which is very grounded in reality, I’d like to see Punisher maybe show up, a little bit of Elektra maybe," Cox said during the latest Empire Podcast. "I wouldn’t mind Black Widow making an appearance, and you can’t think about Daredevil for too long without thinking of Bullseye. I don’t know when or if or how that would happen, but it’d be cool if it did."
Because of Daredevil's success and subsequent season 2 order; Defenders is being pushed back. The original plan was to introduce Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and then have them all join forces similar to The Avengers assemblage.
“We’ll begin shooting in the second half of the year,” Cox divulged. “It’ll be the same timeline as the last show, so season two will come out about this time next year. Again, I’m imagining all this, but they’ll probably do Iron Fist or Luke Cage at the same time, followed by the other one [of the two] in the first half of 2016 and then maybe Defenders in the second half of 2016 or the beginning of 2017.”
It’s time to let the devil out. Marvel’s Daredevil is here to clean up the streets of Hell’s Kitchen, New York. Lawyer by day, street-level hero by night, Matt Murdock is on a mission to make his city a better place against an underground terror within the city.
