Who will be in the Avengers: Age of Ultron? Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Black Widow are all said to be returning. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch have also already been confirmed to be joining the team. Now, it looks like either War Machine or Iron Patriot can be added to the list as well.
In an interview with USA Today, Don Cheadle confirmed that he has a part in the next Avenges movie. Don Cheadle's character is James "Rhodey" Rhodes, who became War Machine in Iron Man 2. In Iron Man 3, Rhodey donned a new suit and took to calling himself Iron Patriot. It's unknown if he will be sticking with Iron Patriot or returning to the War Machine moniker for Avengers: Age of Ultron. It's also unclear exactly how small or large a role he will play. It could be he merely has a cameo like Gwyneth Paltrow had as Pepper Potts in the first Avengers. However, we're betting that he plays a substantial role. Cheadle played a noticeable bigger role in Iron Man 3, and we suspect Marvel Studios might be building his character up for an eventual solo movie.
Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on May 1, 2015.
