Former Wonder Woman Director Met For Star Wars 2nd Anthology Film

Michelle MacLaren is a talented director that is best known for directing some of the finest episodes of Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. In November, Warner Bros. hired her to direct Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman solo film, but five months later she exited the project over "creative differences." Could she have another potential blockbuster in her future?

Jeff Sneider of The Wrap revealed on Meet The Movie Press that Michelle MacLaren met with Disney about directing the second standalone Star Wars film. That's the film that Josh Trank (Fantastic Four) had been attached to.

She'll have to compete with Jon Favearu (Iron Man) and Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman: The Secret Service), both of them are rumored to be in the mix for that gig as well.
