Hafthor Bjornsson, the Icelandic strongman who is the latest actor to play Gregor "The Mountain that Rides" Clegane on Game of Thrones, broke a legendary, 1,000-year-old record to win this years' "World's Strongest Viking" competition.

The legend states that the Viking Orm Storulfsson carried the mast of a ship three steps before it crushed broke his back. Bjornsson carried a log of wood with the same specifications – 32-feet long, and over 1,400 pounds – on his back for five steps and walked away just fine.

With the World's Strongest Viking win under his belt, Bjornsson is looking forward to the World's Strongest Man competition, and is eyeing the championship after coming in second place last year.

Game of Thrones returns for Season 5 on April 12.
