George Lucas Shares "Long Lost" Darth Vader Audition Tapes

On February 2, The Drama League of New York honored the long and storied career of film and stage actor James Earle Jones the black-tie Musical Celebration of Broadway event.

As part of that honor, Star Wars creator George Lucas made a video appearance to thank Jones for providing the voice of the Darth Vader. Lucas also revealed some "long lost" audition, featuring several noteworthy actors delivering iconic Darth Vader lines, including Lucas's first choice for the role, Angela Lansbury.

Jones recently reprised his role as the voice of Darth Vader in an early episode of Star Wars Rebels on Disney XD.
