Pokemon Eggs are a great way to fill out your Pokedex in Pokemon Go. You can hatch any basic, non-Legendary Pokemon from a Pokemon Egg, regardless of where you find it. Not only does hatching Pokemon Eggs give you XP, the Pokemon you hatch from eggs have a higher Max CP than the ones you catch in the wild.

There are three types of Eggs, each of which require a different amount of walking to hatch. The Pokemon fansite Serebii.net figured out which Pokemon hatch out of which egg, and an Imgur user compiled the data into an easy to follow chart, which can be seen here.

As shown in the chart, the 2 kilometer egg group contains mainly common Pokemon like Pidgey and Weedle, but also has all three Starter Pokemon. The 5 kilometer egg group has the most variety, and the 10 kilometer egg group is mostly rare Pokemon.

There’s no real trick to hatching eggs in Pokemon Go, as you simply need to walk around to hatch them, but we do recommend focusing on the 2 kilometer eggs if you’re trying to quickly gain XP. After all, you can hatch two 2 KM eggs in the time it would take you to hatch one 5 KM egg.

Pokemon Go is available in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
