Lou Ferrigno Celebrity Apprentice

Ok, not technically the Hulk, but an actor best known for playing the Incredible Hulk on television will be appearing on the Celebrity Apprentice. NBC has officially announced the cast for the fifth season of the Celebrity Apprentice and Lou Ferrigno, who played the Incredible Hulk on the popular seventies and eighties television series, was on the list. In the past, Ferrigno has lobbied to appear on Dancing With The Stars, but for whatever reason the show has never cast him, which is odd considering Ferrigno is way more recognizable than a lot of the stars that have appeared on that show. However, Dancing With The Stars' loss seems to be the Celebrity Apprentice's gain. In addition to the Hulk, there is also another cast member that should be of interest to comic book fans. Actor George Takei, who is best known for his role as Sulu on Star Trek, will be joining Ferrigno on Celebrity Apprentice. In addition to his role on Star Trek, Takei also appeared on NBC's Heroes. Both Lou Ferrigno and George Takei have been guests of honor at numerous comic book conventions.

George Takei Celebrity Apprentice

While I've never really been a regular viewer of Celebrity Apprentice, I will definitely be tuning in this season with Ferrigno and Takei onboard. Hopefully, the two of them will be making it far into the season, and I'm crossing my fingers that we get to see some comic book or science fiction related challenges. The eighteen celebrity contestants will be competing to raise money and awareness for their charity of choice. The winner of Celebrity Apprentice receives a $250,000 bonus check to their designated charity. Lou Ferrigno is playing on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, while George Takei is playing on behalf of the Japanese America National Museum. The fifth season of the Celebrity Apprentice premieres on Sunday, February 12 at 9pm EST/PST on NBC.
