Executive Producers Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright preview preview Tuesday's episode of iZombie: "Even Cowgirls Get the Black and Blues."
Thomas explains that Liv eats the brain of a country-western songwriter and "we get to hear Rose McIver sing. And she's great!" What isn't she great at?
"Don E. tracks down Gabriel, the guy who originally cut the tainted Utopium," he says of the episode's subplot. "One of my favorite things about this episode is our weird little comedy trio of Blaine, Chief and Don E." Adding to its appeal is that the actor playing Don E. is the same one that played Scott E. in the first season. They liked the actor, Bryce Hodgson, so much that the producers/writers invented a twin brother so he could come back to the series.
Check it out in the video below.
While investigating a case, Liv (Rose McIver) eats the brains of a country-singing waitress. Detective Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) meets a female FBI agent who will be working out of their offices. Blaine (David Anders) tries to entice a former business associate to come back to the dark side. Meanwhile, Peyton’s (guest star Aly Michalka) return is messing up Ravi’s (Rahul Kohli) game, and Major (Robert Buckley) continues his downward spiral.
Matt Barber directed the episode written by Deirdre Mangan.
Liv's latest case gives her something to sing about! iZombie is new Tuesday at 9/8c.
