It’s been a while since there’s been a Jason Momoa has been confirmed as Aquaman article outbreak. Despite the fact that nearly every major movie site has exclusively confirmed that Momoa has been cast as Aquaman, neither Momoa or Warner Bros. will officially confirm it.
As part of interviewing Momoa about Road to Paloma, Entertainment Weekly gave another shot at getting Momoa to finally admit what everyone has reported. In a clever twist of words, EW avoided speaking the name Aquaman at all, instead asking Momoa to confirm or deny if he had been cast as a certain trident-wielding superhero.
But Momoa would fall for no such trickery, and he gave one of the answers that really doesn’t confirm or deny anything.
“Well, I’m really excited for it [Batman vs. Superman] to come out in 2016, I’ll tell you that much,” said Momoa. “I’m really excited to see what is happening in that world.”
But at least now we know he’s excited for the film.
Maybe, someone should ask Dwayne “The Rock” Johsnson if Momoa is Aquaman. I’m sure he’d be willing to spill the beans. He confirmed he was playing Black Adam without Warner Bros. having even announced a Shazam movie.
