The Force Friday fun started Wednesday night with an 18 hour livestream broadcast from around the world, but it continued on through the day all the way up until the midnight release of the the Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys. In some lovely corporate synergy, that included some promotion in an appearance on Good Morning America on ABC in the morning, and some toys shown on Jimmy Kimmel Live! later in the night.
Kimmel and his sidekick Guillermo got to reveal the three talking and voice-altering masks that went on sale last night, featuring the new First Order Stormtrooper, the commander Captain Phasma, and the lightsaber-wielding Kylo Ren. Guillermo even demonstrated Ren’s mask, featuring some intriguing phrases as recorded by Adam Driver, plus the “voice altering” capabilities.

Kimmel went for the low blow against lifelong fans of Star Wars, just a few days after making fun of Youtube (where the parent company, Disney, had that 18 hour unboxing event streaming), but he did also rock a pair of Chewbacca Crocs, so he really doesn’t have much to stand on when making fun of fanboys.
Check out the new masks, and Guillermo’s excitement, in the video above.
