As Comicbook.com has reported in the past, Marvel Studios has a standard policy to not comment on rumors and speculation. As we've also reported in the past, their directors don't always follow that policy. In an interview with IGN, director Joss Whedon actually responded to the well-publicized Planet Hulk movie rumors from Latino-Review. Joss Whedon said, "Well I'm really not supposed to comment, but no, that's nonsense." Of course, there will likely still be speculation over if Joss Whedon is telling the truth or not. With J.J. Abrams recently changing his mind on directing Star Wars Episode 7, many take denials with the same grain of salt that they take initial movie rumors. However, Joss Whedon does seem to have been reliable in the past in regards to his denials. When rumors circulated that Spider-Man would be making a cameo in The Avengers, Joss Whedon was first to shoot down the rumor. Ain't It Cool News also previously reported that they had two separate Marvel sources deny the Planet Hulk movie rumors.
