Noelle Stevenson will no longer serve as the lead writer on BOOM! Studios' Lumberjanes, she announced today via Twitter. Her final issue will be Lumberjanes #17 in August.
Kat Leyh will take up co-writing with Stevenson's current writing partner, Shannon Watters. Leyh was already solicited as a guest artist on #17. Stevenson says that she will remain available to the creative team as a consultant, but that she trusts them to do right by the characters.
You can see her tweets below.

Lumberjanes quickly became the face of BOOM!'s publishing line last year, when ecstatic reviews and support from both retailers and fans made the little-heralded title a sell-out success.
Recently, the series was optioned for a film adaptation.
