Sherilyn Fenn Returning For Showtime's Twin Peaks Revival
Deadline has learned that Sherilyn Fenn, who played spoiled brat turned do-gooder Audrey Horne in the original Twin Peaks television series, will reprise her role for the upcoming revival series and she will have a "major presence" in it.
There were concerns that the 50-year-old actress wouldn't be able to participate in the new Twin Peaks installment because Fenn's been busy with another Showtime original series, Shameless, which she has a recurring role in. Fortunately, she was able to free up her schedule enough so that she could film her part before it had wrapped.
She'll be joined by Kyle MacLachlan, who is reprising his role as FBI Agent Dale Cooper, as well as including Miguel Ferrer, Peter Sarsgaard, Amanda Seyfried and Balthazar Getty.
Widely considered one of the most groundbreaking and influential broadcast series of all time, TWIN PEAKS followed the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town who were stunned after their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. The town's sheriff welcomed the help of FBI agent Dale Cooper, who came to town to investigate the case. As Cooper conducted his search for Laura's killer, the town's secrets were gradually exposed. The mystery that ensued set off an eerie chain of events that plunged the inhabitants of Twin Peaks into a darker examination of their very existence. Twenty-five years later, the story continues...
Twin Peaks is written and produced by series creators and executive producers David Lynch and Mark Frost and is directed entirely by David Lynch.
