Back in January, Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee told DweebCast that he didn't have a cameo in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Lee said, "No, I'm afraid not. This is the one group that I didn't create. I didn't write Guardians of the Galaxy. I'm not even sure who they all are. I can't wait to see the movie." However, at C2E2 earlier today, Stan Lee revealed that he actually will have a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy after all. Responding to a question from a fan, Variety reports that Stan Lee said, "I can't tell you what it is, but I can tell you I do not understand what it was or why I did it. It has me with a girl, a very pretty girl, that's all I can tell you." In the past, Stan Lee has cited that it's sometimes difficult for him to film his cameos in movies that shoot overseas. Most of the Guardians of the Galaxy was shot in the UK, but some footage was shot in Los Angeles. It would make sense that the Stan Lee cameo was probably added during the Los Angeles filming. As first reported by ComicBook.com, Nathan Fillion recently alluded to having a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy as well. It would also make sense that Fillion's scene was probably filmed in Los Angeles. Could it be that Stan Lee, Nathan Fillion, and a very pretty girl all share a scene in Guardians of the Galaxy?
