Every once in awhile we like to highlight some high-ticket items around here, available either from custom builders or high-end auction houses. The latest of those goes with one of the hottest topics of the day, Star Wars. It's a full-size R2-D2, and it's also a refrigerator.
The Aqua R2-D2 is made by Haier Asia and only available in Japan, currently - and also happens to cost nearly $9,000. It holds a few cans (of pop, beer, iced tea, blue milk, whatever), and includes a remote control - yes, Artoo can bring your drink to you while you sit on your couch watching The Empire Strikes Back or the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer for the 100th time.
If that's not reason enough to get it, just remember, it's also a great place to hide your lightsaber when you're on a crime lord's barge, waiting for the exact right moment to strike.
