Steve Niles' Criminal Macabre Returns in September

Criminal Macabre, the acclaimed series from 30 Days of Night creator Steve Niles, will return in September with a new, four-issue miniseries at Dark Horse Comics.

Criminal Macabre: The Third Child, which directly follows Criminal Macabre: The Eyes of Frankenstein, will feature art by Christopher Mitten. The series was officially announced this weekend at Phoenix Comic Con.

In the story, Cal's changed . . . and maybe not for the better. Locked away and drowning himself with booze and aspirin, Cal feels the evil consuming him. Will he be able to withstand its pull or will he become the monster war's greatest weapon of destruction?

Criminal Macabre: The Third Child #1 is on sale September 17.
