Since many fans expected The Flash and Arrow to form a DC Entertainment block of programming on The CW in the fall, some were surprised to see that in fact The Flash will screen a day ahead, on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. in the time slot just abandoned by Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., who will air  an hour later starting in the fall than it did in its freshman season. So...did The Flash get a last-minute time slot change when ABC decided to move Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? It sure sounds like it. During a press conference this morning at the CW Upfronts, a reporter asked The CW's President Marc Pedowicz about the change, noting that it seemed unlikely the plan was always to have a superhero show going up against Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in its former/The Flash's future time slot at 8 p.m. on Tuesdays. "I can't comment," said Pedowicz, "but you know, sometimes it's good to be opportunistic. It worked out really well; that time period opened up. We know Supernatural holds up very well and Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D. is not there; they have two comedies. The Flash will do very well."
