One of the most immediate things you’ll notice is how striking the game is visually. The characters and buildings boast sharp angular lines, which is paired with lush backdrops. Even through the damp and rainy weather you can still see the beauty in the environment. Regardless of how beautiful that environment may be, you will be fighting it for your survival.
You and your puppy pal will be travelling on foot and via raft to find resources and supplies, while trying to keep ahead of the torrential downpour that threatens to take over everything. You’ll notice in the trailer how you keep track of your characters condition (tired, damp, exhausted, etc) and will have to find supplies and medicines to get back into fighting shape. The natural wildlife will also be an issue, as you will have to take on bears, wolves, and other creatures to survive.
Take a look at the initial trailer above to get a good look at the world, and the tips trailer (also above) to see how the wildlife system works. You can also see some additional screens in our gallery.
The Flash in the Flood is in early access on Steam now, and will release in full sometime this year.
