Batman: Arkham Knight - Batmobile Battle Mode

DC Entertainment's YouTube series All Access returns today with a look at two of the company's most-anticipated upcoming projects. A look at the just-delayed Rocksteady video game Batman: Arkham Knight, complete with gameplay footage as seen earlier today, kicks off the special, which then segues into All Access's preview of The CW's The Flash starring Grant Gustin and John Wesley Shipp. "How about some intrigue and deceit?" Teased Scrubs alum Tom Cavanagh, who will play S.T.A.R. Labs chief Harrison Wells in the series. "How about some devilishly-clever storylines?"

Added Rick Cosnett, who plays Detective Eddie Thawne, "You know, Geoff Johns is writing this thing. He has the reins on it so anything is possible." Johns, the Chief Creative Officer at DC, wrote a long run on The Flash, culminating with the universe-resetting Flashpoint storyline, bits of which appear to be seeded into the show's pilot. The show also clearly derives some inspiration from Mark Waid's run -- the other previous run following the Crisis on Infinite Earths which really captured fan imagination. About their particular characters, Jesse L. Martin said that Detective West is a father figure both at home with Iris and at work with Barry; Carlos Valdes and Danielle Panabaker identified themselves as Barry's support team. "It's the first time that I've played a character where I've been told, 'Don't say too much,'" Cavanagh said. "Isn't that great?" The Flash will air Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. on The CW starting in the fall. Arrow will remain on Wednesday nights, creating a two-night DC Comics block on the network.
