As we previously reported, the mind-manipulating villain Gorilla Grodd will be returning to The Flash this season and today Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg and Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow, teased his King Kong-like arrival.

"Caitlin plays Fay Wray to Grodd's Kong," Kreisberg said at a Los Angeles press event. Wray played the damsel-in-distress that in 1933's King Kong. When the giant beast falls for her beauty, he scoops her up and takes her atop the Empire State Building, where he is gunned down by fighter planes.

As for Grodd, he was a S.T.A.R. Labs' test subject that gained superpowers from the particle accelerator explosion. With his new abilities he quickly escaped from his cage and sought refuge in the sewers of Central City.

When he was merely a gorilla, he developed relationships -- told, not shown -- with Caitlin, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh). "In season 1, you got to see a tiny bit of her relationship of Grodd," Panabaker added. "You'll get to see a little bit more of that and understand their connection from before. He's got some unfinished business with her, I'd say."
