Image Comics' Silverline Books imprint has announced two new children's graphic novels. The Lava Is A Floor is by writer Justin Shady with art by Jeremy R. Scott, and Timothy & The Transgalactic Towel is by writer Michael Bullock with art by Michael Metcalf. The Lava Is A Floor tells the story of a brother and sister troubled by being bored. Except they are not the typical sibling duo, because they're actually monsters living in the crater of a volcano. With their imaginations, the siblings pretend be the strange creatures known as humans. Timothy & The Transgalactic Towel tells the story of a young boy named Timothy, who discovers that with a seemingly normal beach towel he can transport himself to other worlds and times. He winds up transporting himself into the midst of an inter-galactic war. The Lava Is A Floor will be a 32-page full color hard cover book with a suggested retail of $12.99. The Lava Is A Floor is scheduled to arrive in stores on August 5, 2009. Timothy & The Transgalactic Towel will be a 112-page full color book with a suggested retail of $16.99.
