During the opening monologue for his last Late Show, David Letterman played a brief clip from The Simpsons.

In the clip, a cartoon version of Letterman tosses his note card, breaking a glass window behind him. Then, the scene pans to Homer and Marge Simpson sitting on a couch. Laughing hysterically, Homer says, "He broke the window….again!"

To which Marge replies, "Gosh Homie, Dave's been on the air for 33 years. Back then, Bart and Lisa were kids, and Maggie was still a baby." Watch the full clip embedded  below from Vid.me.

Goodbye David Letterman. We'll miss you!
