The Walking Dead: Robert Kirkman Teases Fate Of Michonne

In The Walking Dead #127, Kirkman jumped the story arc to around two years in the future. Ever since the time jump, Michonne has been mysteriously missing from the series, leaving fans to speculate on what might have happened to her. There have been other characters carrying swords in Michonne's absence, and many had initially speculated that Jesus was carrying Michonne's sword.

However, in the letter column to The Walking dead #129, Kirkman cleared up any misconceptions people might have had about various swords that have appeared in the series recently. Here's what Kirkman wrote.

You've probably noticed by now that there are a lot of people with swords. And for the record, NONE of them have been Michonne's (look closely). If she's dead… she took the sword with her. Man… now I'M worried…

If Kirkman himself is worried, then what does that mean for the fate of Michonne? Could a major Walking Dead character have died during the time jump?
