Cable network FX has acquired the first cable broadcast rights to Thor: The Dark World, in addition to other recent hits like Gravity and Captain Phillips.The films will make their FX Networks premiere in 2015, once they’ve hit home video and made the pay-cable and pay-per-view rounds in 2014.Deadline reports, “FX has been very aggressive in acquiring blockbusters, buying virtually every No. 1 movie in the box office for the past couple of years,” including Iron Man 3, Despicable Me 2, Man of Steel, Fast & Furious 6, Star Trek Into Darkness, World War Z, The Wolverine and Pacific Rim.
