Video: The Hatbox Ghost Heads Back To Disneyland's Haunted Mansion

A month ago, Disneyland announced that the mysterious Hatbox Ghost would make his return to the Haunted Mansion ride this month. A new video has been posted online showing his return and you will lose your head when you see his improved special effects.

The Hatbox Ghost has become a legend as he was originally included in the attraction when it opened in 1969. He was quickly removed because his illusion, which was his head disappearing from his shoulders and reappearing in a hatbox he held, worked well in a controlled environment but not was installed in the actual ride. From then on, the original Hatbox Ghost figure was never seen again. Thus, the legend was born.
