Weta's Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes VFX Breakdown

Weta Digital has released a new video that details the work that their team of artists created for 20th Century Fox's blockbuster, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

It is amazing how much the computer-generated effects improved in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes as compared to Rise of the Planet of the Apes. They were so good in fact that the film's visual effects were nominated for an Oscar. Director Matt Reeves has Weta Digital to thank for that. They pushed the boundaries of their advanced motion-capture technology to deliver intelligent and emotional performances from fully CG apes that were as believable as their human counterparts.
