Will Poulter Is Pennywise The Clown In Film Adaptation Of Stephen King's IT

New Line and director Cary Fukunaga (True Detective) have chosen English actor Will Poulter to play Pennywise The Clown in the upcoming remake of Stephen King's horror classic It, according to Variety.

Poulter is best known for playing the goofy fake-brother/son 'Kenny' in We're The Millers and as 'Gally' the Glade's enforcer in The Maze Runner.

Sources say in the end, Fukunaga could not say no after being blown away by Poulter's audition for the part and felt he was the right choice for the role. - Variety

Pennywise, which is actually a monstrous creature that takes the form of a clown was first played by Tim Curry (Clue) in the ABC mini-series back in 1990.
