Stars as big as Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt don't come together very often. When they do, however, it's a force to be reckoned with.

The two actors are starring in the upcoming Christmas-weekend blockbuster Passengers, and the film looks to be an emotional and thrilling ride. Lawrence (Hunger Games, X-Men) and Pratt (Guardians Of The Galaxy, Jurassic World) star as two people who wake up 90 years to early on a ship journeying through outer space. All of the inhabitants are supposed to be in cryogenic sleep for the entire trip, but these two have mysteriously been awakened.

The first trailer for the film debuted earlier this year, and it was an instant hit with audiences. Many loved the chemistry of the two actors, and the special effects of the film were second-to-none.

Speaking of special effects, a new clip from the film was released on Thursday, and it was a beautifully terrifying trip into zero-gravity dangers of space.

In the clip, Lawrence approaches an enormous swimming pool on the ship and dives in. As she swims to the other end, it is revealed that part of the pool extends into an open window overlooking space.

As she heads back toward the front ot the pool, an alarm sounds, announcing that the gravity control within the ship has failed. Lawrence is immediately trapped in the large body of water, as it lifts from the pool and swirls into the air.

Passengers was directed by Morten Tyldum and is being distributed by Columbia Pictures. The film will hit theaters on December 21, 2017.
