Game Of Thrones' George RR Martin To Play Zombie On Z Nation

Game of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin is, however, rising from the dead on Z Nation in an upcoming season 2 cameo. He'll be playing himself and as you can see in the gallery below, has a nice Game of Thrones tease to go along with the appearance. The book zombified Martin is signing is titled, "A Promise of Spring," while the seventh (and probably conclusive) Game of Thrones novel is expected to be titled, "A Dream of Spring."

"I just want to prove to my fans that even in the Zombie Apocalypse, the Song of Ice and Fire books will still come out," Martin says. His appearance will come in the eighth episode of the Syfy series, imprisoned by a character called the Collector (no Guardians of the Galaxy connection there). The Collector nabs as many celebrity zombies he can and keeps Martin chained to a desk for his own reasons.

Z Nation returns this Friday at 10 PM on Syfy.
